I have always carried large handbags. I like to be prepared for things. Prepared for when hunger may strike. Prepared to protect your skin from the blazing sun. Prepared for cuts and gashes that may appear. Prepared for whatever my day may have in store for me. I like to be prepared and, as such, my handbags tend to be on the large-size and always stuffed to the brim with these ‘necessary’ supplies.
I used to joke with my husband that I felt he married me because no matter where we go I always have an endless supply of snacks for him. One time while we were dating, we were out and Geoff mentioned he was hungry. I immediately pulled out a granola bar, fruit snacks and a 100-calorie pack and asked him which one he wanted. He looked at me in amazement and I am pretty sure that was the moment he fell in love with me. Food is the way to a man’s heart I hear.
Since having Taden and the announcement of Baby #2 my hand bag, now referred to as the diaper bag, has only gotten larger (hard to believe!). The majority of its contents have also drastically changed (see part 2 of this post later this week), though the snacks are always a must!! When I was pregnant with Taden I was on the search for a ‘cute’ diaper bag. Not an easy task I must say!! I am a practical person, so I wanted a bag that would be useful and could easily and in an organized way store everything I ‘need.’ But, it had to be cute and not mommy-ish. Totally superficial, I know! I searched and searched for months and months (thank goodness you are pregnant for 9 months!) until I finally landed on this Kate Spade pick. Yes!! Even better I picked it up at the Kate Spade Outlet Store, during a holiday discount, discount weekend!! Yes, yes!! I have had the bag for over a year now and am in love with it as much as I was the day I purchased it. It is amazing!
