Any parent, no matter how inexperienced you are, knows children’s clothing is expensive! Especially when you consider a majority of their clothes will be spit-up on, covered in mud or grass stains, ripped at the knees or just outgrown too quickly to get your money’s worth!
This past year I have become quite the thrift-er when it comes to dressing Taden! I have purchased the majority of Taden’s clothing from Once Upon A Child and I know I have saved hundreds and hundreds of dollars, but lately I have been needing an easier option. Contrary to many, I am not a fan of shopping and am even less of a fan of shopping for “deals.” I do not have the patience or energy to dig and dig through mounds of clothes for that unbeatable deal.
Crazy as it sounds, I have been looking for a store that sells quality, fashionable children’s clothing, at cheap prices, and organized in a way that will make it easy and quick for me to find and purchase, sounds impossible?! I thought so, but Google never fails me!!
ONLINE children’s second hand options!! I thought I would share my finds with you.
1 – Thred Up
An easy site to save money and time on Women and kids’ clothing. This site has thousands of like-new (and sometimes new with tags) clothing for a fraction of the price! It is the most organized site I have found, and even lets you browse clothing collections by budget – bargain, basic, premium or designer.
This site has flat rate shipping! Sometimes I have a hard time justifying online shopping when shipping and handling is outrageously expensive. Here you will find $5.95 shipping on everything! They also try and streamline your shopping experience even more with “Bargain Boxes.” Just click on the “Bargain Box” icon, select the size of clothing and pay. The site has boxes by size already organized you just purchase them! It really cannot get any easier than that.
3 – RascalsResale
This site sells new and used clothing for Men, Women and children. They have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, which makes online shopping so much easier for my indecisive personality. Their site is well organized to help you easily find exactly what you are looking.
4 - Baby Outfitter
I love their tagline! This site sells not only adorable, affordable children’s clothing, but also toys, books, DVDs, etc. They have a great video explaining their mission. And I just love their founder! All items are categorized as like-new and they focus on quality for parents.
5 – ebay
The best part about choosing any of these online retail shops is skipping the hassle of navigating a stroller through the aisle of your local thrift store – which is priceless to any parent! I can’t wait to check each of these out and report back.
