Have you been watching the Olympics? Who hasn’t been?! Geoff and I do not usually revolve our evening around television shows, but for the past week you definitely would have found us camped out on our couch watching the latest event every evening.
For the opening ceremonies last Friday we found ourselves hosting our usual game night with this cute couple. Usually we both bring an assortment of snacks to munch on all evening, but last minute I decided this ‘usual’ game night needed a theme!! This is the Olympic Opening Ceremonies!! I quickly dug through my cupboards, along with Elisabeth’s assortment, and made this cute little display. It was both festive and yummy and completely devoured by the end of the evening.
^^Our Olympic rings!
^^Tate was able to stay for some of the festivities!! This little guy loves his hummus. Actually, he loves just about anything that is edible (and sometimes not edible, too).
^^It would not be a game night without Elisabeth’s delicious, homemade bread.
^^Lighting our ‘torch’ cupcakes – thank you Pinterest!! Finally you came through.
^^Pierogi’s were our Russian addition to the spread. Remember my family’s Annual Pierogi Fest in the fall?! We love this dish and the heritage connected to my family.
Go Team USA!! We enjoy watching your amazing talents and can’t wait for the excitement to come next week!!
What is your favorite Winter Olympic sport to watch?
**Again, a special thank you to Pinterest for these fun, creative ideas. For once Pinterest attempts did not end in a Pinterest fail!
Love this! You're so creative!
