Most mornings I have to pinch myself when I wake up. Am I really a mom to these two, beautiful babies?! How and when did all of this happen? With each passing day life seems to fly by faster and faster.
I am coming up on my one-year blogiversary and oh how grateful I am for this little space on the internet I have created! I frequently review past posts ooo-ing and aaa-ing over pictures of my children in their “younger” days and reminiscing on all the fun things we have done throughout the year. I was very hesitant when I started this blog, but now I love my online journal, my creative outlet, my way of reaching others. Time is not always on our side and usually will not stop to let you stop to ‘smell the roses’ or take a quick break. Time is always moving and usually faster than you want. I am grateful for the moments I captured on this blog so when time is speeding by and I feel like I can barely catch my breath, I have my pictures, captions, thoughts and memories here to remind me of how I have spent my time.
Last Saturday in between purchasing a house (yes we did that!, see post here) we drug our kiddos to the park. It was a great opportunity for us to step away from the busy, crazy buying process, take a deep breath of fresh air, be together as a family and to center us back to what matters most. Boy do I love these three!!
^^Not the best picture of myself, but look at that little man!! I get to see that face and smile every day #luckiestmom
^^Maddie had enough!! … Daddy to the rescue.
^^This day we actually did make time to “smell the roses.” I am grateful for my children who make me constantly slow down and stop what I am doing to teach them small life lessons (like smelling flowers). They are wonderful examples to me to be always learning and enjoying the beauty around us.
^^He is the best hand-holder.
Our day was filled with lots of craziness that is involved in purchasing a home, but I am grateful for the time we took to stop and slow down and enjoy the day and this life as a sweet family.
How do you stop and slow down?
