Blog silence has been broken! We arrived home late, late Saturday evening from our sunny Florida vacation and I feel like I am still trying to recuperate and catch my breathe. I have just begun sorting through the 1000+ pictures I took on our trip and decided I needed to begin posting a few (or a little more than a “few”) as I feel like I am being buried alive by them right now. Sorry in advance for the overload of pictures galore from our triparoo… stop by next week (or maybe next month) if you are not interested in our vacation recap via pictures [but, please do stick around!!].
It nearly took all week to get this kid off the first step of the pool, but once he did he had a blast!! He is one of the most cautious kids I have seen. He was so timid of the water because he was not in control of the situation. He has been like that nearly his entire short life, i.e. will only go up the steps if someone is behind him (even still to this day), does not climb onto couches, chairs, other random large objects like ‘normal’ children. He will not be my daredevil child jumping off the monkey bars or doing flips off the trampoline and I am okay with that right now.
^^Holding onto to his Dad for dear life!
^^Little Miss Madelyn made her appearance at the pool every day. She always sat poolside snuggled into either Meme (above) or Grandpa (below a couple of pictures).
^^Me and my girl with our matching headscarves. Slightly obsessed with these scarves.
^^He is going through a hand-holding-phase and I am not complaining.
My parents live behind a busy road in their “village” and so watching the cars (and golf carts) drive by was a part of our morning routine. Waves, smiles and honks from the cars were all welcomed!
^^This kid wears “bed head” so well!!
One afternoon my dear mother made homemade Pierogi’s!! We all ate ourselves sick that night and then overindulged ourselves again the next afternoon with leftovers! Check out this post to read about our Pierogi Fest family tradition.
^^Grandpa made Tate a car out of blocks and he was “zooming” it around the house all week.
^^I think this was when Geoff taught him how to play Angry Birds or another much needed “life skill.”
^^I love his little baby toes.
What a fun week we had away!! I loved being able to step away from the craziness of life and spend time together with my little, growing family and share them with my parents. I hope you enjoyed just a “few” of our vacation pictures because the rest of the week will be filled with more recaps. Hold onto your seats!!
